New compact dual-channel 25 MHz SIGINT Disk Recorders with
baseband and IF/baseband data interfaces

AE8250DC supports the following user-selectable record/play modes:

  • 2 ch. x 25, 12.5, 6.25, 3.12 MHz*

  • Choice of IF or baseband record/play Input/Output modes

  • Standard IFs (160, 70 and 21.4 MHz)

  • >55 dB SFDR

  • Direct-to-LTO-3 tape BACKUP/RESTORE facility

*   Other bandwidth sets may be specified 
     e.g. 20/10/5/2.5 MHz, or 8/4/2 MHz.

AE8250DC 2-channel Multi-mode SIGINT Recorder Features

AE8250DC is a flexible dual-channel, multi-mode recorder designed to support a range of baseband and IF recording applications.  The two synchronous wideband channels can be programmed to record either baseband (video) or IF data and a range of bandwidths.

  • Two parallel channels that can be programmed individually for baseband (video) and/or IF recording

  • Selectable baseband (video) recording at bandwidths of up to 25 MHz (per channel).

  • Down-conversion and recording of IFs (160, 70 and 21.4 MHz) at bandwidths of up to 25 MHz per channel (BW restrictions apply to the 21.4 MHz IF)

  • Selectable sub-multiples of the maximum BW (e.g.  25, 12/5, 6.25 MHz).  Alternative bandwidth sets may be specified, e.g. 20, 10, 5 and 2.5 MHz, or  8, 4 and 2 MHz)

  • IF recordings made as I/Q pairs

  • IF recordings replayed at IF

  • Export digital data files for high precision computer analysis

  • Minimum 40 minutes recording time per disk crate (2 ch. x 25 MHz mode)

  • >55 dB SFDR (typical)

  • Separate IRIG-B channel

  • Separate Voice / Annotation channel

  • Direct-to-LTO-3 tape BACKUP/RESTORE option

  • Full Ethernet and RS-232 Remote Control

  • Optional rack-mount kits for static, mobile and airborne environments

  • Conforms to MIL-STD-461E (EMC)

  • Conforms to MIL-STD-810E (Environmental)

  • Easy network connectivity for real-time computer analysis, file sharing, etc.

  • Optional Avalon Recorder Utility (ARU) remote control and data management software for Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, etc. (including creation of MARTES headers, etc.).  Other operating systems can be supported to order (e.g. Linux).

  • Optional stand-alone, self-contained Disk Crate Reader (also runs ARU)

  • Physical: 178 (h) x 215 (w) x 536 (d) mm. 9 kg.

  • Power: 110/240 VAC. 50/400 Hz. 120 VA.
